A Professional Cook!

A Professional Cook!

That’s a perfect profession for Widelene. She “loves” to cook more than anything else in the world!

She has a “gift” for making the food “look delicious,” even before the first bite!! Yum!

Widelene has been in college here in Haiti for several years now! It’s “not just about the taste,” but good food has to “look and smell” delicious!

And, “you cannot be a great professional cook,” unless you love food, and you are passionate about it!

Widelene was about four or five years old when her thin, sick-looking mother appeared at our “rental house in the mountains” of Haiti. The poor, thin mother had a little girl and a baby in her arms. She wanted to find a home for her two children “before she died.”

After talking to her, I realized she hadn’t eaten in days. She thought she was “sick” and going to die, but in reality, she was starving.

We sent her to a hospital, and when she was well, we took her and her two children into our orphanage. We gave Madamn Jesula a job and more than that, Jesus gave her “hope!”
