Her full name is Yolanda Estima Burnette. Her mother’s name was Marie Elmise Hermulus. She was born in the mountains of Covant, where our highest mountain project is located. As with many of our Love A Child kids, her mother died shortly after she was born. Her father was left with six children to raise, so he brought her down to our orphanage.

Yolanda is a special young girl. She is 13 years old and in the 8th grade. Here she is in her school uniform! She still loves to “jump rope” and play soccer!! Yolanda loves to sing, and she adores music. She is part of our Praise Dance Team of girls. Yolanda is learning how to play the drums, and she is very good! She also loves to cook! I can see the hand of the Lord in her life for special work. She says she wants to be a pharmacist, but we will see… She has many options because she can be “anything she puts her mind to!” And yes, we all love Yolanda!!! Sherry
