Today, with hearts full of joy and gratitude, the Love A Child team delivered a powerful, nourishing meal to 294 prisoners locked away in the civil prison in Anse-à-Veau, Haiti.

This wasn’t just any meal; it was a steaming, hearty bouillon packed with life-giving nutrition: fresh spinach, moringa, greens, watercress, cassava, sweet potatoes, yellow yams, malanga, plantains, flour, French bread… and generous pieces of good beef. Every ingredient chosen to strengthen bodies weakened by hunger and hardship. Among these 294 souls are 22 women and 5 young people under 18, forgotten, vulnerable, and in desperate need of compassion.

Even more moving: 29 of them specifically asked the Love A Child team to pray with them and for them. Because this ministry doesn’t just bring food for the body, it brings the living Word of God for the soul. Physical bread to sustain life, spiritual bread to restore hope.

For over a year now, Love A Child has faithfully provided daily hot meals to these prisoners. The gratitude overflows: they say “thank you” with tears in their eyes. They openly share that it is thanks to Love A Child and to every person who supports this work that they have not starved to death behind those walls.

In a place where despair could easily win, love is showing up every single day. Bodies are being fed. Hearts are being touched. Lives are being preserved.
