ATC Living Classroom

The students at our current three-week “Sustainable Agriculture in Haiti” class at the Agricultural Training Center (ATC) is hard at work learning their new skills and even working together actually implementing the theories they are learning.

Here, they are learning about soil science and how to prepare proper planting mediums, for giving new seeds their best start to becoming nutritious vegetables. What they are learning in the classroom, they are getting to put into practice in the field and the demonstration gardens. The students are very excited about their opportunity to improve their lives with this new knowledge. You can also see that they work up quite a hunger from learning so much. They live, eat, and study together in our comfortable “bunkhouse” right there at the ATC.

A huge “Thank You” to those who make this possible by donating to “scholarships” and to our “sustainability projects.” Without you, these students would not have this opportunity to have a better life.
