Several years ago, we “heard” of children in poor villages working with their mothers to make those “mud cookies” that hungry children all over Haiti are eating today!

There is no good nutritional value in eating these special “mud cookies,” except for the fact that when you eat the cookie and drink a little water, the mud in your stomach expands and gives you the feeling of a full plate of food!

The day we were introduced to Betchina. She was covered with mud in the heat of the sun, mud flying everywhere as she and her mother made mud cookies.

Her dream was to go to school!

We started a program in that village to put mothers into a real “job!” Betchina’s mother was part of the plan! We just received this photo yesterday from Pastor Joseph. He was there the first day he was able to enter the village! After that, seeing the need, we started a food distribution and job creation there! What a life-changing blessing!
