Betina… She is different than the other girls. While Betina is 14, she can play and get along with girls younger than she is. When we ask what her favorite toy is, she will say “Dolls!” Actually, the Haitian children love things such as dolls, jump rope, etc. She is the best at “jump rope!!” She also loves “going to church with her sisters!” Betina is intelligent and hard-working. She cleans her room, scrubs her own clothes by hand, and loves our two Rottie dogs! She is in 8th grade and doing well!! Betina always has a smile on her face! A Haitian Proverb says, “Your face is your passport!” If so, she will go far!
