These pictures were taken inside our “Malnutrition Center” where we have been caring for all the pregnant moms who come in for check-ups. They come from “all over Haiti,” because they also receive results from our Sonogram, which was donated by Joyce Meyer Ministries — Hand of Hope. We give these mothers a clean “Birthing Kit” to take home because when mothers have their babies on the “dirt floor” of a mud hut, and they use a “rusty razor blade,” or tin can lid to cut the umbilical cord, they develop a serious infection and die.

These Birthing Kits come from our wonderful partners! We need 200 Birthing Kits a month, so it takes a lot of help from our partners. These particular Birthing Kits used on this day came from K-Ville Assembly of God! When these arrive in our office in Fort Myers, Florida I always have my warehouse staff put pink paper on them and mark, “Take Pictures!” This helps us show our wonderful partners where all their hard work is going! • One newborn outfit (a “onesie” and stocking hat)
• Feminine pads and two receiving blankets
• Small plastic basin and a bar of soap
• Single-edged razor blade
• Two 10” long pieces 1/16” cotton cord
• Disposable newborn diapers and one cloth diaper
• Absorbent underpads
