As most of you know, Sherry and I had to leave Haiti on August 23rd due to Sherry’s health. Some people have asked, “Does Sherry have Cancer?” She does not have Cancer; praise the Lord! I wish I could share more with you, but Sherry is a private person and will not let me say anything. She must have medical procedures for the next 18 months. She is doing well; her spirits are up and positive. A miracle is on the way! Thank you for your prayers for Sherry.

We have lived in Haiti for 35 years. The Lord is in control! Sherry and I have been running Love A Child from Florida, along with Rad and Sandra Hazelip, our executive directors, for several years.

It has been very difficult missing all the Haitian children and staff. We miss them dearly. We get calls from Haiti every day. We will be back to visit with everyone in Haiti before the year is over, for a few days.

Jesse and Kim Ostrander are at Love A Child, running everything there, along with all the Haitian staff. Jesse and Kim are doing a great job! Everyone loves them! Jesse has been coming to Haiti since he was 17 years old. Kim came on her first mission trip. Jesse said, “This is the woman for me!” Jesse and Kim got married! Missions are their blood. They love Haiti and all the people, especially the children.

We are behind Jesse and Kim all the way. They are smart and very hard workers.

Thank you for your prayers and support. Even as the work in Haiti has been expanding and growing, we have been facing some financial battles. Your prayers and support are needed more than ever before. “God has more miracles than we have needs!”
