Today, our Haitian children are going to a lake not far from us. It is not a “paradise stop,” but a little “sandy spot” on the side of the lake, not far from the Dominican Republic. (This is the only place we have been able to take our teenagers and other children; all the other ocean parks, etc., are in “gang areas.”)

The “older girls who will be going to college” planned this event… They are taking cold drinks, Haitian food, and of course, music! There will be younger children, too, and several “moms” that work here. The best thing is “Poppie Bobby” is going! The kids are so excited!!! (Bobby is only sad because he cannot find his “fake snake,” Ha!)

It is sad for Haiti to have its parks closed, its beaches and beach motels taken over by gangs! There is “no other place to take the children,” to give them “even one day,” to have a day of fun in the water!!

Mommie Sherry is going to “work from the Orphanage” while “Poppie Bobby” babysits!
