Yesterday afternoon, Casimi, our semi-truck “food container driver,” along with three more of our guys were kidnapped. (Two of the guys were security.) The 400 Mawozo (Papaya Gang) took Casimi and the others, along with our semi and 40-foot container. Thankfully, Casimi had unloaded a full container of “Feed My Starving Children” meals into our Food Distribution Center (here in Fond Parisien). Casimi was headed back to pick up another load of food from the port.

Two hours ago, Nelio, our Haitian Director, called Sherry and me saying “they all have been set free, including our semi and the 40-foot container!!!” The Lord answers prayer!!! Nelio did a wonderful job negotiating!! He had help with another gang member. They were talking to the head of the 400 Mawozo gang, himself. He wanted a whole lot of money, a whole lot! I don’t know what all went down yet, but I think when they realized they had Love A Child’s semi and employees, they settled down. I know some of the gang comes to our Jesus Healing Center and Birthing Center when they need help.

Praise the Lord we paid no money!! A deal was made but, we don’t know the whole deal yet. The Lord is good!! Thank you Nelio, and those who helped him negotiate. I know he said it was very hard. Nelio attended our first school in Haiti, starting in the first grade. Now he is our Haitian Director. The Lord gives him great favor. I’ve seen this many times…

Please pray for the 400 Mawozo gang and the other gangs in Haiti. They are in deep desperation because Haiti is in deep desperation.
