Bringing Food to Hungry Children!

Today, we packed a large truck with food and will have to buy other items, such as beans, spices, charcoal, etc. This is for our largest feeding program, which is in L’Artibonite, Haiti.

We feed over 1,000 children a day, Monday through Saturday, plus adults. We are so thankful that we just received a container of Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) rice because the children in L’Artibonite had completely run out of food for a week. The people had been calling and “begging” for food. They will be “jumping up and down” when the food truck arrives!

It is still very dangerous to deliver food in many places in Haiti… Please pray for our drivers that they can make it safely (We were warned today of how bad the gangs were and they cautioned Sherry and me not to go at this time.)

Yesterday, a very poor, young mother came to our gate, begging for food. I went and filled a backpack with FMSC food and gave her some money for milk. It was a small thing to do, but she was so very thankful. We cannot possibly understand how bad the hunger problem is in Haiti, especially now. We thank all our wonderful partners for your sacrifices and for your prayers!! God richly blesses you, Sherry
