These precious ladies have been working for us for many years. They cook food for all of our school children and the construction workers! It is a hard job, and the kitchen is “hot!” (The kitchen is actually in the back of our church, but soon, we hope to have a nice, beautiful kitchen for them to work in!) The cooks are always smiling and happy to have a job! Each person in Haiti who has a job feeds at least ten people with their salary!

We received some handmade items from our friend, Laura, and some handmade pocketbooks from P. Tadena, so we gave them out! The ladies were so happy!! You would have thought they had a “Walmart credit card!” (They were supposed to put the pocketbooks around their shoulders, but they ended up around their necks!!)  The Bible says, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine…” – Proverbs 17:22
