This is Stephanie and George. George is about a year older than his sister, Stephanie. We first brought George into our orphanage when his mother was in a bad emotional state. She was pregnant and didn’t want another child. Her husband was not taking good care of her either. She told a lady at the pharmacy that she was going to have the baby at the General Hospital (the Government Hospital) and leave him there. The lady at the pharmacy asked me if we would take him so that he would not be given to Social Services. We told her, “Yes!” We went and picked up George. It was during “Hurricane Georges,” so his real name is “Georges!”
But a year later, George’s mother got pregnant again… with Stephanie. She died when Stephanie was about a year old! We brought her into our orphanage. Both children are very sweet and obedient, but Stephanie is more “headstrong” than George! Stephanie is a hardworking, obedient young lady! Stephanie is in college at Balan University. Some of our partners sponsor “college” for our children in a special fund! Stephanie is studying administration! She will be good at it! Anything she does is “exactly right,” and she is good at getting things in order and doing the job right! Stephanie is engaged to a nice young man who is building a small house for her and his family! Stephanie will be married in December!
George is always happy, always laughing! He is a sweet kid! We met his real father one time, he was bald! Well, George is young but losing his hair, so he has his own “George Hair Design!” Ha! He works hard on heavy equipment and never says “no” to anything! (He has his “Caterpillar Heavy Duty Equipment” Diploma!) He will always do what his “dad” (Bobby) tells him to do, and he does it the best he can!!! George has a “fiance” and is saving his money to build a small house. Haitians do not get married and “rent!!” They do not get married until the man provides a home for his wife, so “get busy, George!!” We want to hear those wedding bells ringing!!
We love these two kids. We are so proud of them!!
