Carlos and Dieuferly…

Carlos, left, and Dieuferly, right, both grew up in our orphanage. We found Dieuferly in his mother’s arms, far away, in the mountains of Haiti! He was about a year old. His mother was holding him. We saw that he had “club feet!” We asked her if we could take Dieuferly with us to find a doctor to do surgery. She agreed. At that time, the U.S. Military was here in Haiti, doing “free surgeries.” We begged them to operate on Dieuferly’s “club feet!” They did the best they could, but later, Dieuferly had to have more surgeries!

Carlos, on the left, was just a toddler when he and his mother had been sleeping on the streets here in Haiti. We took them into our orphanage, gave Carlos’s mother a job, and put Carlos in our orphanage. Today, Carlos has several jobs here at Love A Child, and he also has a job as a cook! Dieuferly (on the right) has a business with his brothers and a restaurant! They are both good “businessmen,” with big hearts for the poor! We are so proud of them both!
