We had a little buzz around the kitchen this week! A swarm of bees decided the wall near our employee kitchen looked like a great place to call home.

Our Haitian staff was quick to tell us, “Don’t kill the bees, they are a blessing!” So we called the local “bee man.” He found the queen, carefully moved her, and the whole colony followed. He even removed the hive they had built inside the wall.

We paid him for his work… and he got the sweetest tip of all: he kept the honey!

Bees safely relocated, kitchen back to normal, and the blessing continues, just with a little less buzzing!
