Celebrating 26 years in Haiti

Celebrating 26 years in Haiti: 7-1-17 6:15 PM

Today is July 1st and it is a very special day! On July 1st, 1991, Sherry and I moved to Haiti 26 years ago!

When we first moved to Haiti, we “moved by faith!” Right after we moved here President ARISTIDE HAD TO LEAVE DUE TO A COUP. The Security Council imposed an oil and arms embargo on Haiti. Everything was cut off. All the gasoline stations were closed!!! There was gunfire every night, all night. Few hospitals were open. It was a rough three years of “hardly any electricity at all or most of the time no electricity.” But it made us tough for Jesus! The Lord gave us miracles of gas! We kept on working for the Lord just missing two bomb blasts, and several bullets.

Looking back, we would never regret anything, any trials we faced. We did it with joy to help the Haitian people especially the children. Twice Bobby had to be flown out of Haiti by air ambulance to trauma centers in the U.S. due to accidents here. We could not have made it if it was not for the Lord… and if it was “not for you.” God has blessed us with the very best partners we could ever have!!!! We want to “thank you” with all our hearts!!! Many came to Jesus, and the Lord has done so many wonderful things! We love you. Bobby and Sherry
