It was eleven years ago that “Gwo Maché Mirak” (Miracle Market) was established for “job creation” in Fond Parisien! It was the anniversary of the “Gwo Maché Mirak” or “Miracle Market!”

When we first came to see our land in “Fond Parisien,” Haiti, it was just land, full of weeds, sharp cactus stickers, and no trees! We knew that Haitian people needed “jobs!” With the Lord’s help and help from our partners, the land was cleared, and we built a large marketplace!

All Haitians “want to work” in a market and sell! It is the women who buy and resell. They love “talking” and sharing their “good news,” as well as their problems!

The beautiful “anniversary cake” was made by Widelene, who just recently graduated from college as a professional chef! She is one of our older “Love A Child” kids.

The next plan is to have “Sunday services” inside the “Fresh Food Restaurant” as soon as we can find donors and partners to help sponsor musical instruments and a PA system!!
