Chef Michael… It’s a rare thing to find a young, teenage Haitian who is interested in cooking! I just happened to come into the kitchen just now and found Michael at work, helping the cooks!

Michael (Mikael) Antoine came to us after his mother had died and his father could not take care of him. He was in very poor health and suffering from malnutrition. (The baby picture was taken after his recovery.)

Michael loves playing soccer and basketball with his Haitian brothers. He plays the drums in the church service at night. Michael is so sweet and respectful and helps the moms. He is a good kid, a little shy, and we love him!
