He is small for his age and in 10th grade. He is a great student, making good grades. He is now 15 years old. The first time we saw him he was about four or five… what a cutie. His father was in prison, and the Department of Social Services brought him to us. He had a smile “a yard long,” and he still does.
When he was about five, he could really sing and was never afraid of crowds. When we dedicated our Market Place, he was right up there in front of several thousand people and sang like a professional.
He now plays the keyboard and still loves to sing. Christian is so, so sweet, and quiet, and always helpful. The kids nicknamed him “kalaya,” because when he came, he was always saying that word. The wonderful thing is that he is a good worker and always wants to help! I would like to have about ten more, “just like him!” We all love Christian!
