“I don’t know, mom! It was Ednas’ idea!”

Ha! We have a Haitian man working for us at the orphanage and he is “over the boys!” His name is Ednas and he “runs a tight ship!” Ha! In Haiti, (until High School), they usually want the boys to have bald haircuts! Ugh! It’s ok for little boys to keep their scalp clean but I don’t like it for teen-aged boys! Oh well, it will grow!

Christian is small for his age but his smile is ten feet long! He is an excellent piano player and drummer! He never gets into trouble! Christian was brought to us by the Department of Social Services. His father had been sent to prison and his mother had died. There was no one to take him in. Christian was only about five or less when the Department of Social Services sent him to us.

He is a hard worker and is kind to everyone! Christian is in High School, but hasn’t yet thought about what he wants to be! But whatever it is, he will make a good one! He loves music and school! A Creole Proverb says, “Your face is your Passport!” If that is so, he can make it anywhere!
