Maybe you’ve never watched a hungry child eat. They pick up every single grain of rice, then they lick their bowls and their fingers clean… They want to make the most of a good meal. It makes us smile, yet it still brings us pain to know that so many more will be eating “dirt, mud cookies, and even small rocks,” like Saintmene did. (Saintmene is a young girl we found years ago who had been eating rocks because she was starving. We had to have some people carry her through the mountains on a stretcher to the nearest hospital to have surgery.) The greatest blessing God can bestow on us is the ability to feed the hungry, and He always blesses those who do. Sherry
