Today, we distributed food in three new areas… Nan Gaya, Nan Plaza, and Sou Moulin! These are three really “tough” villages to get to and work in! We loaded up our trucks and took our team and our security guards to these “rough” areas. With us was Philemond, one of our drivers, Berry, Ezekiel, Dieuferly, Stanley, and others. We already distributed “food tickets” to “women only!” You might ask, “Were the people happy, and did they appreciate the food?” Just take a look at “grandma!” When she got her two big Tilapia fish and that huge sack of rice, she took off “doing the jig” and dancing down the road! We could hardly keep up with her!
After the struggles of fighting for food and trying to feed hungry families, these grandmas, moms, and young girls had the right to dance! This food means everything to their families! They were so thankful and so appreciative! They have never seen fish that big, and probably never had the money to buy a huge bag of rice like this!
Our only regret is that “you,” our friends and partners, could not be with us to see the joy on the faces of these precious people. Many of the people will never go to church, but “the church” can go to the people! Jesus was always “feeding the multitudes!” Thank you, wonderful partners! Great is your reward in Heaven!
