We have had Daniello since he was a baby. He is from “Old Letant.” His mother and father died and the village people (who are all poor), were feeding him scraps of what they had to keep him alive! (You can only imagine).
When we found this out, we brought him to our Orphanage. That was the beginning of seeing his forward “mental health,” plunge. He would often disappear from the Orphanage and had to have all the kids looking for him. When he went to school, he disrupted the class so much, that the teacher had to “tie him to a chair,” to keep him from “wandering off!” Thank God that our teachers were patient with him!
He is sweet, but he can “disappear,” and our kids lead the “search team,” for him. He is now 15, and he has made it to third grade! He’s really “super sweet” and a hard worker. Daniello loves soccer, but doesn’t like to lose! (Smile).
He wants to be a mechanic, and we all believe that he will be, as the Haitians say, “a darn good one!” We all love em’!
