This is Davidson Noel. He and his twin brother, David, were brought to us on Christmas Eve by Grandma Noel! I know that sounds crazy, but that’s what happened. The twin babies were born high up in the mountains where there is no doctor, so their mother died during or right after childbirth possibly due to childbirth “fever.” We wanted to name the babies Jonathan and David, but when we made their birth certificates, the government people insisted on “Davidson and David.” All twin names must have something in common in their names, so this is Davidson.
We had to hire a lady to take care of them. We found out that their throats were almost “completely closed up!” Their grandmother had no money for milk or sugar, so she fed them “salt water.” By the time we got them, their throats were almost swollen shut! They cried all the time, but God spared them!
Davidson is in college now studying photography. His brother is studying engineering. Both boys are very tall and sweet. And finally, it is much easier to get them “out of bed!” Ha! Both boys have a dream! It is amazing that God chose these two boys to come all the way down from the mountains to our orphanage! We pray that these boys will reach their dreams. It is difficult now to do this in Haiti because of the gangs. But God is more powerful than anything else, and God always has a plan for our lives.
