This is Dieubon. His name means “God is good.” He is a funny and short little guy who grew up in our orphanage. We found him at a Mobile Medical Clinic. His mother had five children and they all lived in a small hut. His dad had no job.

When Dieubon was about three or four, our good friends Dr. Falterman and Debbie made the contacts for us to get Dieubon to a doctor in the States to do “double club foot surgery.” The surgery went well, and Dieubon stayed in the home of the Faltermans during his recovery. Then, the doctor realized Dieubon also had spinal problems and had additional surgery. (This is why Dieubon is so short.)

Today, Dieubon is one of our painters. Dr. Falterman has gone on to be with the Lord, and Dieubon takes care of his family on his small salary. We love Dieubon! The kids say he is our “SpongeBob!” He is a funny little guy, hard-working, very respectful, and loved by everyone! Who could ask for more?
