Both the surgeon and pediatrician saw Dieubon early this morning and said he’s doing remarkably well and the surgery site looks great. The drain will be removed today and he will likely be discharged tomorrow. He slept very well last night, even though the catheter had been removed. He woke up this morning about 5:30 AM saying he wanted to take a walk, so he walked really well around his room and then sat in a chair. He’ll have an active day of more walking, eating real food and getting fitted for a back brace to wear for three months. Bobby and Sherry are flying to Tampa today to spend the weekend with Dieubon and they will return to Haiti on Monday.
