We found Dieuferly with his mother and nine children in the mountains of Covant, Haiti about fifteen years ago. Dieuferly had club feet and malnutrition and he would have died if we had left him there. We had to carry him on a mule for many hours out of the village, and then, by four-wheel-drive for many more hours to reach a main road. He had several operations on each foot. He is now a young man with a bright future, who wants to be an “airport traffic controller.” (He is the one in the middle.) He is in Philo, which is his last year of high school in Haiti. Sherry
