Jesus said, “For I was hungry, and ye fed me…” Matthew 25:38 — This is Lena. She has no family, no food, and no hope. She was sitting on the side of the road in the hot sun when we saw her. We finished what we had to do and brought her some food and cold water. She asked if we had any sandals for her. Her feet were dirty, and her toenails were long, her hair uncombed, and her teeth rotten. How long had she been there, squatting, with her crooked stick, and no one helping her? I looked at her and honestly, could see Jesus. When we feed, clothe, or visit one person in prison, it is “doing it unto Jesus.” Now, we have to decide how to help her even more. It is all so sad.
