Don’t Touch My Sister!

Daniel is in 9th grade and has a twin sister, Daniella. These two new babies were brought to us when their mother died while trying to reach the general hospital in January of 2004. There had been “problems on the street” and police stopped the mother from entering into the hospital to give birth. It turned out that she was pregnant with triplets…one of the babies did not make it. Both Daniel and Daniella were “very small,” but Daniel was the smallest. He looked like a “tiny little rat” for the longest time! We didn’t think he would make it, but he did.

Daniel loves school and is very intelligent! He works in our “fish farm” and helps wherever needed. He is always sweet and quiet, and smiling. He makes good grades in school and wants to learn “computer science!” (I can see that!) He loves his twin sister Daniella! He will be “particular” about who she marries!!! He watches her like a “hawk” and is very protective of her! (Brothers and sisters here at the Children’s Home are always very close!) Haitians are “hand-holders,” and it is nothing to see two “good friends” or a brother and sister holding hands and talkingthat’s Daniel and Daniella! (I don’t think Daniel will let his sister out of his sight any time soon! Ha!) These kids are awesome, and we love them all! Sherry
