She was just a little, tiny girl when her father brought her to us at our Orphanage. She had fallen into a pot of boiling water prior to this, and her skin melted from her neck down to her waist! We did not know what we could do for her, but we wanted to help!
Due to severe burns and scar tissue, she could not turn her neck from side to side or up and down. She had been burned from her neck to her waist and under her arms. That began long trips to Shriners Children’s Boston and finding a house patent for her. She had so many “skin grafts” taken from different parts of her thigh area, etc., but soon, she could turn her head and raise her arms.
Since she was in the States, she learned English quickly. She is now in college in Jamaica and helps a lot with her church sound system, etc. Everyone loves Dumolia!!
