Our sweet Dumolia is doing well in college in Jamaica. It was quite a cultural shock for her, but after about a year she seems to have fit in! She told us that it was hard for her to get used to the Jamaican accent, but she is learning! She has a full schedule at her church and college too! She is still praying and giving thought to her future, but now she is “everyone’s best friend” in Jamaica!

Dumolia was brought to us by her father from the mountains. On the day of the accident, her mother wasn’t watching Dumolia as she pulled a huge pot of boiling water boiling over onto her neck and thighs. When her father brought her to us, she was only about three or four. The burns were so bad that Dumolia could not lift her arms above her head or turn her neck from side to side! We took her to the Shriner’s Hospital in Boston. She had many years of painful skin grafts, and she may need more. Anyone who meets her loves her!!! We do too! She is a gift from God!
