Dumolia, Reaching for Her Dream!

Our sweet Dumolia is getting closer to her dream of attending a special “English-speaking” University in Jamaica.

As you may know, Dumolia was brought to us after she had been badly burned when she fell into a huge pot (chodia) of boiling water. At that time, she was about five years old. After weeks in a poor hospital here in Haiti, she was released but could not turn her head from side to side, nor could she raise her arms above her head.

We sent her back and forth to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston for many years. She had many, many skin grafts. She learned to speak English well and graduated from an English-speaking High School here in Haiti, but could not go to College in Haiti because she could not speak French.

Nearly all her paperwork has been completed to enter an International Medical College in Jamaica. She volunteers at our Birthing Center and does the sonograms. Dumolia will go far in her life! She loves the Lord, and she loves people!!
