Esther was “the baby” in the arms of a poor mother. That precious mother, Madamn Jesula, was ill and thought she was dying. She wanted us to take her two children, “when she died.” But, we sent Madamn Jesula to the hospital and paid her bills. We found out that she was extremely anemic and just needed rest and good food. We decided to take her into our “Love A Child” Orphanage, along with her two girls, baby Esther, and “five-year-old” Widlene.
Today, Widlene is about to graduate from college in Haiti, as a “professional cook,” and Esther will attend college to become a “dental hygienist.” Both girls are devout Christians. I guess I’ll need to start looking for “good husbands! Ha!”
