Esther has finished with her last grade, Philo. She would have loved to go to college here in Haiti to study to be a vet, but there are no colleges here for studying to be a veterinarian. The closest place would be the Dominican Republic. She is here, helping us at our orphanage and studying Spanish online.

She and her sister, Widlene, were brought to us by their mother, Madamn Jesula, who thought she was dying. She just wanted to know that her children would be taken care of. We sent Madamn Jesula to the hospital and found out that she was starving and had anemia.

They have been with us since Esther was about six months old. Esther helps me with the children and makes sure all the food comes in for the orphanage. This is very serious because the truck has to travel through sections of “gang territory!” Esther is a devout Christian and wants to have a good education as a vet! She loves animals! She will make a great vet!
