Sweet Esther is now 17! It’s hard to imagine that she was one of two children who were brought to our gate that many years ago by their mother, Madamn Jesula.
Madamn Jesula was very sick. She lived up in the mountains near our first home in Haiti, in Mt. Noire.
We were accustomed to many knocks on our gate and it could be tiresome at times. But this was “life or death.”
Madamn Jesula felt she was dying and wanted to be sure someone would take her two children… Widelene, about four, and Esther, a baby.
We put her mother in a hospital and found out that she was hungry and weak and anemic.
After taking care of the hospital bill we decided it was best to bring Madamn Jesula and her children into our orphanage. We gave Madamn Jesula a job.
Esther makes good grades in school. Her goal in life is to be a vet. She is in High School now, but she will need to attend college in another country for this.
We will leave it up to the Lord.
Esther loves the Lord and she is such a blessing! Let’s see what the Lord will do with her life.
