“Let’s Go to Church!”

The people of Haiti, no matter how poor they are, will find “something” beautiful to wear to church! In Haiti, large bundles of used clothing arrive by boat and are sold for very little. In the States, many are accustomed to wearing jeans, and many women wear pants. We like to wear something “casual.” Not in Haiti. Beautiful “used clothing” is sold at a fair price, and “everyone will be wearing their very best!” Some of the younger girls look like they are going to a “dinner ball!”

Our church in Haiti hires people to come and decorate the platform and other areas in beautiful colors!! Church means “everything to the poor.” No matter what problems they are facing, when they “come together in prayer,” they know that they are serving “a big God!” He has already “prepared a beautiful place for us in Heaven,” so the Haitian people proudly decorate their church as beautifully as they can!
