What a doll! Fabiola is now 14 and in 8th grade, making good grades. Some may know her story, but for those of you who don’t, her mother died when she was very young. Her stepfather could not take care of her. He often left Fabiola and her brother by themselves for days while he looked for work. Both children became malnourished. The picture you see of her when she was young, was taken some time after she became much better.

When her father decided to give her up, the Department of Social Services contacted us. She desires to be a veterinarian. She is very intelligent and has a lot of poise. Her brothers and sisters call her “Kok,” which means rooster in Creole! We all love Fabiola!
