Sustainability!

Meet Farmer John and some of his wonderful Haitian crew. Farmer John has the best meat in all of Haiti. Best chicken, goat, beef, and hog!  Farmer John’s slaughterhouse is inside our Gwo Mache Mirak (Grand Miracle Market) that we built for the Haitian people for a sustainability project. Helping Haitians help themselves!

John loves his slaughterhouse called “Abatwa” here in Haiti. This is his passion, and he loves the Haitian people. He sells his meat all over Haiti. I love seeing the poor local Haitian people coming with just very little money, buying just a little cut of meat. They buy it, then go out in this area to sell it, then return and buy some more. They make just a little bit of money… John puts Haitians to work.

Farmer John has just finished his chicken processing plant here at Farmer John’s. He was processing chickens today! Look at those chickens! Next step: By faith, Farmer John would like to build a cannery plant right here to put meat in cans for the Haitian people.

Farmer John was raised up on a cattle farm, and the Draxton farm is still in existence. John is married to Katie and has six wonderful, beautiful children. Farmer John is a huge blessing to the people of Haiti!
