“Feeding A lot of Orphanages…”
Just look at these precious Haitian children eating a full meal at their Christian school in a poor area of Haiti. These children are under the care of Pastor Charlier. Pastor Charlier is one of the many organizations that receive food each month due to the support of our friends at Joyce Meyer Ministries – Hand of Hope, who sponsors a container of food each month. We share this food with “many” organizations that have orphanages and other outreaches for children. Some care for widows, some care for children, but all this helps the poor families.
The best way of feeding children in Haiti is through schools. This way, they have the nourishment they need to think, study, and play. If not, they will usually have a “half a cup of strong Haitian coffee with sugar” because their parents have no food, and their parents think this will get them through the day…but it won’t.
But, even if children are not fed directly in schools, they still must be fed! Haiti is in a very bad crisis right now. Only missionaries who live here know what we are talking about…gangs and violence have taken over Haiti, which means the mothers and fathers of these children cannot work and sell their products safely. The food prices have risen! It is breaking the hearts of all missionaries who work hard to feed these children.
We wish to thank everyone who helps sponsor food, whether it be a large or small amount, whether it be a container of food or a single box of food!! None of us can do everything, but all of us can do something!
God bless you,
Sherry
