“Grangou nan vant pa dous…” That’s a Haitian Creole proverb that means “hunger in the stomach is not sweet.”

Tomorrow, we will be distributing food to the children and parents in the village of Old Letant. There will be many children to feed. We gave out 1,000 food tickets. These precious children are always hungry, so they go to the lake and they catch tiny fish that look like minnows. These little boys you see were sent to the lake to catch those “tiny fish” that are about two inches long. They said, “our grandma will beat us if we don’t bring any little fish!”
