This is such a sweet picture of the hungry children of “Old Letant” village, near us. Pastor Brunel, who pastors the church in that poor village, is helping us feed hungry children there. (He’s the one sitting on the ground, talking to the children.) You can see that the children are getting excited about the food because the “smell of food” brings hope and excitement! This will be “the only meal they will have to eat” unless we can continue to feed them. If you have ever been to a “feeding program” here in Haiti, it will bring tears to your eyes. Also, when the children finish eating, they will “run their fingers along the inside of the empty bowl,” just to get the last taste of food!
