We have been working in the village of Old Letant for many, many years. It is here that we won several witch doctors to the Lord, years ago. It is a village bound by Voodoo. That is why our friends and partners of David George built a church here. That is why we began a Christian school here. These people live in simple mud and stick huts. When it rains, it turns into a pool of mud! They sleep on the ground on weaved mats, full of bugs. They have nothing to look forward to except our church, our Christian school, and this big box of food!!!! This means everything to them!

The best way of “preaching the Gospel” is through the love of God! When a child or their parent is hungry, and food comes, they know the “food is from the Lord” and it touches their hearts. Because of the food and the love of God, our church here is growing!!! Even though several witch doctors are here, the power and love of God is much stronger! It breaks every yoke!

We are so proud of Watson and his precious wife for pastoring this church and helping in every way they can! They really have a burden for this village. (Incidentally, Watson is also our Love A Child videographer!)

We are so thankful to our partners that sponsor a container of food. We receive the food free of charge from Feed My Starving Children, our good friends. But we are responsible for getting the food from Minnesota all the way to Haiti where we must clear Customs. All our systems are in place to do this. It costs us $10,000 to bring each 40-foot container to Haiti, carrying 272,000 meals. We do not have the words to say, “thank you” to our wonderful partners who give large and small and the widow’s mite, which is precious! But you can see from these faces how much the poor appreciate this large box of food!!! It is “from you, with love!!!”
