There are many poor villages all around us. These mothers struggle so hard to sell little items in order to buy food to feed their families. They get up at 1:30 or 2:00 am to start working. With their own family and “extended families,” it is hard to find enough food.
We receive this good food from our friends at Feed My Starving Children, but getting this food from the States, all the way to Haiti is a big feat, and it costs at least $10,000 per container, especially when dealing with the Haitian Customs officials and all the port costs.
Then, that’s just the beginning… our driver has to pick up this food in “gang-infested areas” at the port, and then from the port to us. We have to trust the Lord to protect our driver each time! But God has been so good to us, and we thank Him for every container, which has 272,000 meals.
So, to you who have given small amounts or large amounts, all your sacrifices are not in vain.
Thank you and may God bless you!
