Please pray for our team on the ground in Haiti. A fire broke out in one of the depots where we keep our lawn equipment. There was gasoline that ignited, and the building quickly went up in flames. Many of our guys on campus bravely worked together to try to put out the fire as quickly as possible. They used hoses and buckets to try to douse the flames.

In the emergency, our chief security guard, Yonel, jumped on a motorcycle to alert the Love A Child Fire Department in Miracle Village. The village is about a mile away. As he was speeding down the road, he was involved in a terrible accident that resulted in a broken leg.

As the men were fighting the fire, Yonel was brought back to our Clinic’s emergency room for immediate care. The medical team is now sending him to a hospital that can better manage the broken bone.

Please pray that the doctors will have wisdom in resetting Yonel’s broken bones. Please also pray that what was lost in the blaze will be quickly restored. We lost equipment and the building itself.

We rejoice and thank God that everyone is safe, and the fire was put out quickly!
