The nurses and doctors were all busy yesterday! Usually, we may have one or two babies born in a day, but the little “rascals” must have decided to “all come at one time!” Ha!
You can imagine the flurry of the nurses and doctors running from room to room in our Birthing Center.
Haitians prefer “life.” They would never think of ending the life of a child, only if it is to save the life of the mother, who may already have young children and probably is the breadwinner of the family.
We are open 24/7. We never close. Babies cannot wait!
I am sure that all the “saj fanms,” those who are trained in deliveries, were busy that day.
Who can tell what one of these little lives may do for the country of Haiti? Maybe they have brought into the world a future president, a doctor, a nurse, or a loving mother.
We love them all.
