Five Haitian “Love A Child” Children Graduating from Philo!

Five Haitian “Love A Child” Children Graduating from Philo!

Here in Haiti, “Philo Grade” (13th Grade) is the toughest grade to pass. Some of our children in times past had to repeat the grade because it was so difficult! This year, we were so proud of Ada, Yolanda, Christian, Dieubon, and Samuel! Yesterday was their “Philo Celebration” in our church, and this is where all the high school students received their diplomas!

It was a great celebration, but we were so tired! The graduation lasted “five hours” in a “packed-full” church with no AC! You can imagine how hot it was! Parents, relatives, and friends came from all over! (This is always a good time for the ladies to “show off” their new hair-dos and dresses!!) There is no shopping center here, no clothing store, nor a shoe store, but they manage!

There were songs and music and dances… (some of our younger Love A Child children did a dance!)

The church was packed full with many people standing… and just think, “the gangs are right up the road from us!” We want to thank all our partners who have sponsored these children through the years, those who have prayed for us, and all those who have been with us since we built the “Love A Child School” (Grades K through 13, Philo).

God bless each of you who have given, prayed, and encouraged us, even in these dangerous times! We love you!
