Update on Florence…

Florence and her four siblings were some of the first children in our “Love A Child Orphanage,” which we began years ago! They lived near us when we first came to Haiti. We lived in the mountains, and Florence’s mother came by our house from time to time. Then came the day when this precious mother died. The children’s father did not know how he could continue to find work and still be there to care for the children. We had just taken in four children, and we had rented a building and hired a lady to care for the children. We offered to take in Florence and her siblings, and we sent them to our “newly formed orphanage.”

In time, Florence finished “Philo”, the 13th and last year of school in Haiti. After that, she had an opportunity to travel overseas to pursue a career in “radiology.” She now works in Italy as a radiologist! We hope to make a visit there this year to see Florence and let her know how proud we are of her!!
