This young lady is Florence. She has been with us for most of her life. Her mother died when she was young and her father abandoned her. When she first came to live at the Children’s Home, she was severely malnourished and had tuberculosis. She received medical treatment for her tuberculosis and three hot nourishing meals each day, as well as lots of hugs from her huge Love A Child family. It didn’t take long for Florence’s health to improve. She quickly became a happy and loving child. When the earthquake hit Haiti, Florence spent hours working along side physical therapists helping to heal those injured. She is now studying to become the “best physical therapist” in Haiti.
