The precious Word of God, if not mixed with love, can do nothing by itself. We can pass out Gospel tracts, etc., Creole Bibles, but if these are not mixed with God’s love, it will profit nothing.

Here in Haiti, many people serve Voodoo. They have lost confidence in the “Church World,” whom they view as hypocrites. The greatest thing we can give them first is love, God’s love.

This is the witch doctor we recently met, Mr Ulysse. He is the one who was crushed and disappointed by his Haitian Pastor, who cheated him. This broke his heart and put him on the path of serving Satan!

All we did, was to pass by, greet him, and let him know that we loved him… and promised him food. The next day, we sent the food, and he spoke to Dieuferly, our young cameraman… He said, “I want to become a Christian. I am waiting for your team to come and pray with me!”

We have had the privilege of winning two witch doctors to Jesus. One of them works here at Love A Child, Mr. Chenet… We had been giving food to his village for several years when the Spirit of God woke him up and said, “Call Madamn Sherry and Pastor Varius to pray for you.” The Holy Spirit did everything else! Today, he is a Deacon in our Miracle Village Church!

Mr. Ulysse’s life is about to change! God will use him mightily!!! We will be getting things ready to go and pray for him… He will burn all his Voodoo stuff!!!

Just think, maybe it could have been “your box of food” that you sponsored that fell into the hands of this man, disappointed by his Pastor but yearning to know the real Jesus!
