You know the old saying, “Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, but teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” This has never been truer than in places with hunger and starvation like Haiti. Our Agricultural Training Center (ATC) teaches people how to feed themselves for a lifetime. Each week, our skilled and dedicated ATC staff get to share their bountiful harvests with the numerous kitchens at Love A Child. These guys manage our demonstration gardens and have taken our training courses, and now know how to provide food for a lifetime. All the kitchens are happy when they get their share of the harvests of nutritious home-grown food. Through our partnership with Hope Seeds International Ministry, we give seeds to many gardeners around Haiti so they can also provide “food for life” for their families and communities.
